“ROSE MARIE”
oSHOW STILL BOOMING The popularity of “Hose Marie" is In the boom over the holiday period, and from the excellence of the show there is no reason to suppose that there will be any slumping: when conditions grow quieter. It is one of the most perfectly balanced shows of its kind that has ever been seen in Auckland, and it is memorable for a number of reasons. The totem ballet, a perfect thing of its kind, is a beautiful inspiration, the chorus work is excellent, Miss Deste’s dancing is a delight, and all the principals are happily cast. It is .this superb alliance with exquisite music that has made “Rose Marie” great. Harriet Bennet, an entrancing leading lady, and Frederic Bentley, a splendid comedian with original methods, carry the excellent show along in lively fashion. The chorus work is done with splendid vigour. “Rose Marie” will be presented again at His Majesty’s Theatre this evening.
