COASTAL MOVEMENTS— The Matangi, sailing at half-past seven this evening for Tauranga, returns again at 7 o’clock-on Thursday morning. The Rangitoto, sailing at 7 p.m. today for Thames, returns again at two o’clock to-morrow afternoon. The Claymore sails at midnight tonight for Whangarei. She is due back again early on Thursday morning. The Taniwha sails at midnight tonight for Paeroa. She returns again early on Thursday. The Ngatiawa will make a daylight trip to the Great Barrier Island to-mor-row, sailing at S o’clock in the morning, and returning to Auckland again at 11 o’clock the same evening. The Waiuku leaves as usual at 9.30 a.m. to-morrow for Waiheke, returning again • at six o’clock the same evening. The .Waipu sails at three o’clock tomorrow morning for Iverepeehi. She is due back again at 5 o’clock the next morning. The Clansman, sailing at five o’clock to-morrow evening for Russell, Opua, Whangaroa and Mangonui, returns again at seven o’clock on Friday morning. The Richardson steamer Mako left Portland on Saturday morning with a cargo of cement for Waikokopu. She is due at Auckland from the coast about the middle of next week. The Elsie Mary, which arrived from the East Coast on Saturday morning, berthed at King's Wharf to discharge and load. She is scheduled to sail at three o’clock 10-morrow afternoon for the return trip to Gisborne.
Tbt Kaiiuna arrived At Auckland All Westport with a cargo cf coal _ and berthed yesterday morning r.c King s Wharf. After discharge the vessel will lay up at Auckland to undergo her annual overhaul and survey. The Union Company’s chartered steamer Waimea arrived from East Coast ports on Sunday evening and bethed at King’s Wharf. She is scheduled to sail on her return trip to Gisborne and Napier on January 4. The Waipori, en route from Westport to Auckland, arrived at Wellington on Saturday morning. She is due here on Saturday next. The Norwegian motor-ship, Gisla, arrived at Lyttelton on Saturday morning from Auckland and Wellington to continue discharging her general cargo from Montreal.
