Death Follows Operation. —Ernest Rowland Crone, a railway enginedriver of Oamaru, aged 56, collapsed on Christmas evening at a private hospital, following an operation for acute appendicitis. At the inquest yesterday a verdict of death from heart failure was returned.—Press Association.
