NEARLY £BO RAISED At an open-air concert held at Carlaw Park on Sunday evening by me Auckland Rugby League Glee Club, the sum of nearly £BO was raised for the benefit of Mr. R. Stack, the ex-senior League player who lost a leg as a result of an injury sustained while playing for Newton against Richmond m the champion of champions competition. „ jt is intended that part of the proceeds will be used to provide “Dick” Stack with an artiflciaigiimb and the balance will form the nucleus of a fund to establish him in business. The programme included items by Messrs. J. Calvert, L. Bickerton, W. Harris, M. Riley, C. Turner, and W. Forshaw. Mr. W. Purcell was the pianist.
