Along with Baby Doreen, he appears in a delightful little sketch, “The W r ooing of Baby Doreen,” and the .pair capture all hearts. Later, leading the ballet in “The Black Bottom,” Jackie again demonstrates his versatility. But these two are by no means the whole show. Alice Johnson leads the Radiant Ballet perfectly in “Hello, Cutie,” and Gwen Jones has a fantastic dance that brings down the house. The Acrobatic Sunbeams may safely be described as a “riot,” to use a theatrical term. Comprised of some half-dozen shapely young misses, from almost babyhood to lively middle teens, these girls are utterly astounding in the stunts they perform—stunts that put the average circus acrobat to shame. Strong in vocalists, the star in this section is Harry Ussher, whose “Baby, Your Mother,” never fails to secure him recall aJter recall.
