LINGFIELD WINS CHIEF RACE MISHAP IN CHRISTMAS HANDICAP Press Association. GORE, Monday. Fine weather was experienced for the Gore Trotting- Club’s fixture, when there was a large attendance. Speculation was brisk, the sum of £18,916 10s being handled on the totalisator, as against £17,640 10s last year. A mishap occurred In the Christmas Handicap, Goldmine, Slump and Lee Bingen coming to grief. The drivers escaped injury, but one horse received injuries which necessitated destruction.
