Trowern (New Zealand), 10.3. The New Zealander forced the pace from the start, straining desperately to secure a knock-out, which he almost achieved in the third round with a right to the plexus, the bell saving the Aussie, who was boxing skilfully. He evaded the New Zealander’s wild rushes. Trowern tired r the last few rounds, enabling Fairhall to secure the victory. —A. and N.Z.
