“The Little Snob” is May McAvoy next picture for Warner Brothers.

George Fawcett, veteran stage and screen actor, is playing the role of a Russian Tsarist officer in John Barrymore’s new picture, “The Temnest."

Lois Wilson recently told Lasky’s that she would do no more Westerns for them. She has since joined up with First National for “Broadway Nights.”

Alice Day, graduated from comedy into feature pictures, joins her sister, Marceline Day, at the Metro-Gold-wyn-Mayer studio. Her first part for Metro will be with William Haines.

Estelle Taylor after long idleness returns to the screen in “The Whip Woman.” Antonio Moreno and Lowell Sherman support her, and others in the cast are Hedda Hopper, Julanne Johnston and Loretta Young.

Greta Garbo wears at least 20 different costumes in “The Divine Woman.” This is an adaptation of Gladys Umger’s play, “Starlight.” The heroine is strongly reminiscent of Sarah Bernhardt.

John Steppling, leading man in his time for Olga Nethersole, Henrietta Grosman and others, has been cast for a role in Norma Shearer’s new Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer comedy of a travelling saleswoman.

William Fox has acquired the film rights to “The Red Dancer of Moscow,” which will ge into production this month. Dolores Del Rio and Charles Farrell will have the leading roles. Six new feature films have been released by FBO. They are “The Slingshot Kid,” “South Sea Love.” “The Swift Shadow,” “Aflame in the Sky,” “The Desert Pirate” and “Legionaries in Paris.” Irene Rich works in a familiar company in her next picture, “Powder My Back.” Each of the players, - Anders Randolph, Audrey Ferris, Carroll Nye and Andre Beranger, has at one time or another supported her. Basil Wrangel, a nephew of the famous Russian general, for the past year a'film editor at the Metro-Gold-wyn-Mayer studios, will be technical adviser for oJhn Gilbert’s picture. “The Cossacks.”

Having just been divorced, Reginald Denny has found still another way to go up in the air. He has bought three biplanes from the British Air Force. They will develop 238 horse-power and are for use in forthcoming pictures.
