Patient Missing From Hospital

A TYPHOID CASE ABROAD AMONG MAORIS (From Our Own Correspondent) TATJRANGA, To-day. A report presented to the Tauranga Hospital Board by the superintendent, Dr. Macdiarmid, stated that a Maori child suffering from typhoid had been kidnapped from the institution. The child disappeared from a side room on Monday night and had, apparently, been taken to various native settlements. This was a serious menace and might cause an outbreak of typhoid. The Health Department has been notified.
