AMERICAN COMPLAINT
DISCRIMINATION ALLEGED RETALIATION SUGGESTED By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 10.30 a.m. NEW YORK, Wed. Charges similar to those contained in the annual report of the United States Shipping Board, that United States shipping was discriminated against by Great Britain, Australia and Canada, were forwarded to President Coolidge by the New York Maritime Exchange. With regard to discriminations by the Australian Government at Pacific ports, it urges the United States “to formulate and place in effect similar regulations on our behalf, by which a surcharge equal to that imposed on our commerce shall be assessed in addition to ordinary duty on traffic landed at ports of Canada, and destined for the United States.” —A. and N.Z.—Sun.
