COMMONWEALTH FINANCE INCREASED INTEREST By Cable.—-Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 11 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. The Mayor of Auburn, reporting to his council regarding the failure to raise a loan from the Commonwealth Bank, said that at the interview the manager said it was probable that the bank would have to finance a large Commonwealth loan early next year. There was a probability, too, of the interest rate being increased to GJ per cent. —A. and N.Z.
