PENWOMEN’S LEAGUE

FINAL MEETING Mrs. Grace Butler, the well-known Christchurch artist, was the guest of the members of the League of Penwomen at afternoon tea yesterday. The function, which was the final meeting of the year, was held in the league’s rooms, Unity Buildings. Mrs. Butler said she hoped to paint some pictures in Auckland to send to the exhibition which is to be held in Sydney by the Grosvenor Galleries. The exhibition, which is being held in March, will be the first display of general New Zealand work given there.
