WELCOME HOME
SOCIAL TO LABOUR M.P.’S AT TRADES HALL Home again from the Marathon Parliament and looking bright and fresh despite the political tests of policy and endurance, Labour Parliamentarians stepped into the joy of vacation last evening at a social welcome home. The social was promoted by the Women’s Branch of the Labour Party, for which Mrs. M. Dreaver acted as hostess. Tho Labour members present were Mr. M. J. Savage, deputy-Leader of the aPrty, Mr. J. A. Lee, Mr. F. N. Bartram, Mr. W. J. Jordan, Mr. H. G. B. Mason, and Mr. Lee Martin Mrs. IDreaver introduced to the assembly Mrs. Emily Gibson, oldest member of the women’s branch, who welcomed the members home. Air. Savage replied on behalf of the members, thanking the women’s branch for organising the social. Air. Lee Alartin also spoke. Aladame Gertrude Anderton, Miss Myra ATcLeod, Aliss Beatrice Birrell, Air. P. Dawson, Air. F. N. Archibald, and Mr. Wallace provided the vocal music. Air. J. Hutton was accompanist.
