BIRKENHEAD BAND

CHRISTMAS PROGRAMME The committee of the Birkenhead Band held its general monthly meeting in the council chambers last evening, Mr. G. Huddleston presiding. A letter of thanks for services in connection with the school fair was received from the School Committee. It was decided to recommend that the band play at Highbury, the business centre, on Friday evening before Christmas and that the band be formed in two sections, one to go to Northcote and the other to Birkenhead on Christmas morning, playing carols.
