COASTAL MOVEMENTS— The Waimea. sailing at four o’clock this afternoon for Gisborne and Napier, returns to Auckland on Sunday next. The Waipiata, en route from Dunedin and Oamaru, left Timaru at 8 p.m. yesterday for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. She is due here about Saturday next. The Kamo is to load at Bluff on Friday, thence Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington, and .Napier for Auckland. After discharge here the vessel loads at Auckland, and sails on December 29 for TVellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. The Katoa is sailing from Auckland at eight o’clock to-morrow night for Portland, where she loads for Wellington and Lyttelton. The Kartigi, from Westport, via Napier, is expected at Auckland toward the end of this week. The Kaimanawa is expected to arrive at Auckland about Saturday next from Westport, via Wellington. The Kairanga has been fixed to load at Westport about Thursday for Wellington, Napier, and Auckland. The Kaponga is loading at Portland today for Greymouth, where she will load timber for Melbourne. The Waipori, which sailed from Greymouth last Saturday evening for Auckland, should arrive here to-morrow. The Kaituna, has been fixed to load at Greymouth about Saturday next for Auckland, where she is due early the following week. The Westport Company’s- collier Canopus is due at Auckland this afternoon from Westport, and berths at the Western Wharf. She sails to-morrow on her return trip to the coal port. The City of Lyons sailed from Auckland last evening for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australia. The Cumberland is expected to leave here at mid-day to-morrow for Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and Bluff. The Athenic sails from Lyttelton today for Port Chalmers, where she completes her discharge of Liverpool cargo. The Atholl should leave Wanganui about Friday for Westport for bunkers, before proceeding overseas. The Gunbar is due at Auckland next Monday from East Coast ports and bavs, and sails the following day on her return trip to Gisborne, Napier, and bays. The Matakana sails from Wellington to-morrow for New Plymouth, where she completes her discharge, and commences her loading for her return voyage. The Waikawa leaves Nelson to-dav for New Plymouth to put out the balance of her Pacific Coast cargo. The West GaTera arrived at Wellington this morning from Auckland, and leaves on Friday for Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth. The Richardson steamer Awahou sails at five o'clock this evening for Hicks Bay, Tolaga Bay, and Gisborne. The Mako is expected to arrive tomorrow morning from the East Coast, -via Gisborne. She is scheduled to sail again at six o’clock the same evening on the return trip to East Coast bays, Napier, and Wairoa. The Tiroa left Auckland early this afternoon for Hicks Bay and Gisborne. The Taniwha, sailing at midnight toior Paeroa, is due back again at eight o clock on Thursday morning. The Claymore sails at 10.30 p.m. today for WTiangarei. She is due back again on Thursday morning. The Motu left shortly before noon today for Whakatane. The Omana sails at three o’clock this afternoon for Waiwera, Mahurangi, and Warkworth. She is due back again at 3.30 a.m. to-morrow. The Ngatiawa arrives from Thames at

half-past three this afternoon. At 5.30 p.m. to-morrow she is to be dispatched for the same port.

The Hauiti arrives at 4 p.m. to-day from Coromandel and Colville. is scheduled to sail again at 3-30 p.m. tomorrow for Kopu and Turua. The Kawau. arriving at *.30 p.m. today from Kawau.
