Madrid correspondent of A the Daily News ” says that the Dictator, General Primo de Rivera, has banned mechanical greyhound racing in Spain on the ground that to encourage gambling would not serve any useful national purpose. It ipoulrt also be detrimental to the sport of hunting the hare with greyhounds, which was worthy of protection. — A. and N.Z.
