The Aricneral Assembly of the Prejhyierian Church concluded its silting yesterday, On behalf of the stamHag committee .appointed to draw up brief statement ok the faith, Professor Dickie said that the committee had done nothing, but was waiting to see what the churches in the old land were doing. When these churches issued a.modern statement ot' Presbyterian beliefs the commUiee would act. Dr. Gibb reported that the public committee had considered an amendment to the motion proposing that the assembly approve of the peace manifesto, and had agreed to re—commend that the assembly should accord -its general approval of the manifesto, and send it down to the presbyteries for consideration and report. *Thls was adopted. The next Assembly will meet in St. David's church, Auckland, on Wednesday, November 21 r . }S2B.
