ACTIVITIES WEEK BY WEEK
The association is already receiving numerous requests for touring itineraries, a surprising proportion of the inquiries coming from the Wellington Province. Many Southern motorists are seeking information regarding the roads to the North of Auckland, and it appears that there will be a record number of motorists touring in the North this summer. Mr. R. E. Champtaloup, service officer of the A.A.A., left last evening to confer with the Engineer in Chief of the Public Works Department, Wellington, regarding the proposed motor regulations. After years of experience the association has evolved a system of signposting that Is claimed to be the most practical in New Zealand. The association is therefore in a position to help the Government with concrete suggestions for the proposed national system of uniform sign-posting. Mr. J. Gilbert has been re-appointed the association’s agent at Hamilton.
