TELEPHONE SERVICE A decided improvement in the telephone service at Dargaville, which at present operates from 0 a.m. to midnight, will take effect from Mond*' next, November 14. In the running events Scoles ad Wilkins ran a dead hear, the 100yds championship. ScolM secured the 220yds, and 440yds. Wilkins also won the 7oyd v dash. In the schools relay race, the conv<rschool was placed first, with ville public school second. the convent school, won the boys -- yds handicap, and Mason, of the P l _ lie school, won the schoolboys c pionship.
