BOARD REGRETS MEMBER’S DEATH

LATE MR. J. MCLEOD The death of the late Mr. James McLeod drew some sincere expressions of regret from fellow-members of the Waitemata Power Board this morning. A tribute to the high integrity of Mr. McLeod and the long service he had given to the ratepayers of the Waitemata County was paid by the chairman, Mr. J. W. Hayden. Mr. W. R. T. Lawton remarked that he had first met Mr. McLeod on the cricket field 50 years ago. Both Mr. J. Mackie and Mr. H. Bay endorsed the regrets expressed by the chairman and Mr. Lawton.
