New College Hostel.—The Government has approved the erection of a new technical college hostel at Wanganui. Wilson, reported to the Waitemata Power Board this morning that power was now available along the whole route of the Henderson Valley lines. The electric stove was popular on the North .Shore and the city showroom had had its best month since being opened. Mount Stanley Baldwin.—As a perpetual memorial of the visit of the British Prime Minister to Canada, a peak in the Canadian Rockies along the Yellow Head Pass, towering 11,000 feet high, has been named Mount Stanley' Baldwin. This peak may be seen by tourists travelling across Canada via Jasper National Park.
