Mr C. K. Macmillan, M.P-, was a passenger from the South this morning. Major Green, of the Salvation Army, arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner. ieft for the South by the Limited last evening. Mr. Allen Bell, of Kaitaia, M.P. for the Bay of Islands, left by train for Wellington last evening. Mr. K. Casey, Divisional Superintendent, North Island Railways, has returned to Auckland from Hawke’s Bay. Lieut.-Colonel F. Symon. C.M.G., P.S.O. Director of Artillery, arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. B. C. Housley, chief traffic clerk, Auckland railways, will leave for Te A'vamutu to-morrow on official business. Messrs. TV. Goodfellow and C. M. White, of Auckland, and Messrs, J. T. Martin and W. D. Hunt, of Wellington, are camping at Taupo for about a fortnight. and will spend their holiday fishing. Mr. W. D. Lysnur, M.P. for Gisborne, is staying at the Central Hotel. He is leaving for Wellington this evening. Sir Thomas Mackenzie, M.L.C., returns to Wellington by train this evening. Mr. David McMillan, who has been the Dominion representative of the Alexander Hamilton Institute for the last seven years, luis been appointed sales manager for Australia and New Zealand. Mr. McMillan will leave for Sydney in a few days. Mr. R. F. Fortune, M.A., a son of a Paruparaumu resident, who in 1926 went to England for two years' reicarch work at Cambridge, has gone to New Guinea, where he will carry out research work in anthropology on behalf of Cambridge and Sydney Universities. —Press Association.
