PRINCE EDWARD

VAUDEVILLE AND PICTURES A special vaudeville and picture programme will be offered patrons at the Prince Edward Theatre to-night. Heading the vaudeville is the special engagement, direct from leading Australian theatres, of the mysterious “X” disappearing, magic card manipulating, etc. An act of refinement is offered by Stanley Wilson, vagabond baritone, in selected numbers and special stage setting. Kathe Klare, chic comedienne, will be heard in bright and breezy numbers put over in a bright and breezy way. Wilma Lockwood, “A Study in Joints,” offers a very smart pot-pouri of twists and tumbling. The first appearance of “Glider,” the clown on skates, promises to be an act full of pep and go. Billed as Senorita Skaterino Clarke in a Russian folk-song on wheels, patrons will see something new ! in the way of skating. I Mrs. Clarke, well known to Aucki land audiences, will be in the title role as the senorita, and there should i be plenty of laughs as well as falls. "Smilin’ Jim” is the title of the feature on the picture side of the programme. A secretary to handle the fan mail has just been employed by Johnny Hines, First National comedy star, owing the enormous increase in requests for photographs. More than 2,000 are mailed each week.
