COLONIAL SECRETARY VISITS SETTLEMENTS IN WEST AUSTRALIA tfrom Our Parliamentary Correspondent) Reed. 9.10 a.in. PERTH, To-day. The Secretary of State for the Dominions, Mr. L. S. Amery, speaking at the civic reception tendered him at Albany, said he was immensely impressed by the spirit of the settlers, and the great and obvious progress that had been made in the area he had visited during the day, when he had been escorted round a group of settlements in the Denmark area, conversing with the settlers. Ho added: "I believe we can supply you with the best material towards the building up of a white Australian nation, and with a market for your products. We can make sure that the best share of the best market in the world shall be reserved for our own kin.”—A. and N.Z.
