SEA-LEOPARD CAPTURED

PRESENTED TO ZOO A sea-leopard was washed up on the beach a 1; Karekare, on the West Coast, on Monday, and was presented to the zoo yesterday. The specimen is a good one, about seven feet long, and was first noticed by Miss Kathleen Farley, and afterwards captured by residents. It was liberated in the sea-lion pond and seemed to make itself quite at home. Previous experience has shown that the sea-leopard only survives for a short time in captivity.
