'FRISCO TO AUSTRALIA PiLANE WILL CARRY MAILS By Cable. —Press Ac. sacla! ion.— Copyright Keod. 10.30 a.m. WASHINGTON, Tues. The assistant Postmaster-General, Mr. W. Irving Glover, has announced that a private concern will attempt a flight from San Francisco to Australia, via Holland, about October 15. He sta.tes that the Post Office Department has decided to permit the taking: ot 1,500 Setters from the United States, to Australia on the flight, permission for this having been obtained by an official of the Australian Ministry of Posts and Telegraphs, who is | attending the International Radio Con ference here. President Coolidge will send a letter to the Rt. Hon. Stanley Bruce, while the Postmaster-General of the United States, Mr. H. S. New, will send an ep stle to Postmaster-General _Gibs:on at Canberra. Mr. Glover declares that an opportunity will be given the public to send letters to Australia by plane, a selection being made from as many different sources as possible.—A. and N.Z.
