SOCIAL CLUB The Otahuhu Holy Trinity Social Club held a very successful dance and card tournament in the church hall on Tuesday evening:, when there was a large attendance of members and friends. In the 500 tournament, prizes were presented by the Rev. C. B W Seton to the following: Mrs. W H plyne Mrs. Barry. Mr. Timmins and Mr Dennison. During the evening a dainty supper was served by members of the club A scene of unusual animation was witnessed at the Invercargill railway station Just before the express drew out the other afternoon, states lmes ” The Platform was co 'f a carpet of confetti and excited little knots of people were to be seen at intervals in lively conversation. The reason for all this vivacity was the departure of no fewer than five newly-married couples whose smiling faces seemed to emphasise the assertion that , "spring’s the time for love.”
