SOUTHERN CROSS’S DEPARTURE DELAYED
NO WIRELESS EQUIPMENT Following telegraphic permission being received from the Minister o. Marine, the Southern Cross sailed this morning on her Island cruise. THE steamer was; to have sailed y- - terday afternoon for the mission. stations in the South-Western Pacific, but her departure was cancelled as result of objections raised by the Marine Department that the vessel not equipped with wireless.
