Expert Burglars
BIG LONDON HAUL GREAT STORE EIUERED By Cable. — Press Association. Copyright Reed. 10.30 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. A daring burglary of Pontius's great West End store was clearly the work of experts, who took several thousands of pounds' worth of frocks and jewellery. They crossed an electric railway, opened the: window with a diamond and forced up the steel doors dividing the departments so quietly that the patrolling watchman heard no sound. They escaped over roofs and walls to a motor-car in a street a block distant. No arrests have been made.—A. and N.Z.-Sun.
