ART GALLERY PURCHASE
By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received 12.35 p.m, MELBOURNE, To day. The trustees of the Felton bequest have purchased for the National Art Gallery Tintoretto’s famous “Picture of a Doge,” from the collection of Prince Lichnowsky, formerly German Ambassador to Britain.
The price was 14,000 guineas.—A. and N.Z.
