A FARMERS’ FRIEND SOUGHT IN THE SUN
A UNION REQUEST Since THE SUN first shed its rays around the province numerous requests have been received from the farming community that it should ally itself officially with farmers’ interests. Last evening- the Auckland provincial executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union considered a further request from a branch union that THE SUN be approached and asked actively to support the interests of the man on the land.
Members stated that there had been several such requests. The Opotiki branch had made that suggestion right at the start.
It was decided that the president, Mr. A. Ross, should call upon the editor of THE SUN.
