A SLOW RECOVERY

WESTERN KING, the handsome Australian, horse purchased mt a good figure by the Auckland sportsman, Mr. M. Moodabe is making a slow recovery from the injuries he received recently as the result of his “solo trial” on the Great South Road. The incident was most, unfortunate, as *:he son of Rock Huon— Hopofield Maid was coming along nicely, and trainer Shaw had hopes of jetting him in racing trim for the rpring fixtures. The interruption wi I throw the imported Aussie horse back considerably but it is- pleasing to know that he is making satisfactory—if somev./hat slow progress. Mr. Moodabe will, however, have a solid pair in Jewel Pointer and Amaris to carry the peaccck blue and canary jacket at the forthcoming fixtures.
