CANARY CLUB

PRIZE-GIVING NIGHT The prize-giving ceremony of the combined Auckland Canary and Cage Bird Club, and the Yorkshire Canary Club, took the form of a social on Saturday evening. The Paget Street Hall was well filled, Mr. T. W. Brown presiding. The patron of the club, M.r. Ernest Davis, in presenting the prizes, congratulated the winners and expressed himself as being delighted with the progress of the club. An excellent programme of musical and vocal items was given by the following: Misses Eileen Long, E. Thorn and Messrs. Hares, L. Belcher and Ogden. Miss Pearson’s jazz band contributed the dance numbers.
