In this case, it was stated to-day the mores* may be available at Christmas time. Otherwise the poll will probably be held in December, and the money will be available for use in February or March. To hurry the formalities through, Mr. J. W. Haj'den, chairman of the board, and Mr. F. J. H. Wilson, resident engineer, will go to Wellington to approach the Local Bodies’ Loans Board at its next meeting. The Public Works Department nodfled the board at its meeting this morning tha: the board’s proposals with regard to the reorganisation of representation of various districts in the area were satis factors'. They would be carried further when New Lynn became an inner area. The scheme provided that the membership of the board should be arranged is follows: Devonport three, Takapuna two, Northeote one, Birkenhead one, Waitemata County Council une, Henderson, Helensville, and Gian Eden (combined) one, and New Lynn The board decided that it could not agree to give reduced rates to tie Post and Telegraph Department.
