Manager’s Hand Crushed. —Mr. Denis Kelly, manager of the Koneni butter factory, Pahiatua, had his hand crushed while assisting in the removal of a vat, necessitating a portion of his little finger being amputated.—Press Association. Avery’s till was robbed of 12s in coppers, and a pair of boots was taken from Edhouse’s shop.—Press Association. Drunken Motorist Fined. Borne James Lipsett, who knocked down a boy on the Hutt Road when riding an unlighted motor-cycle while in a drunken condition, was fined £lO in the "Wellington Police Court to-day and his licence cancelled for 1928.—Press Association.
