NEW SITE FOR ST. ANDREW’S NEGOTIATIONS IN SYDNEY By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright Reed. 11.45 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. The transfer of Saint Andrew’s, the historic Anglican Cathedral, after long negotiations, from George Street to a site in Macquarie Street now occupied by the Mint and the District Court, now seems assured, the Government having signed an agreement with the church authorities covering the transfer. In addition to the new site, tue Government will pay the Cathedral authorities £500,000 as compensation. —A. and
