FOR EDWARD P.

SIX CYLINDER CROSSLEY. HANDSOME LIMOUSINE. A standard six-cylinder enclosed limousine has recently been completed by Crosslev Motors, Ltd., to the order of H.R.H. the Prince of Wales, and was delivered at the end of last week. The finish is in Royal colours, with a crest on each of the rear doors and on the back panel, the deep crimson of the panelling being set off by a bold vermilion line on the bonnet, along the waist of the body and around the artillery wheels. The car as a whole has a very handsome appearance, and from the driver’s seat the most noticeable feature is the excellent visibility afforded, this being partly due to the narrow steel front pillars which arc fitted and also to the deep top panel of the two-piece flatfronted screen. The front seat is upholstered in leather and the rear compartment in Bedford cord, the division between the two being fitted with a sliding glass window, which can be raised or lowered by means of a rotary winder. Fittings in the rear compartment include an Air-vac combined roof light and ventilator, companion sets and a Smith cigar lighter at each side. There are two folding occasional seats just behind the division. An interesting accessory is. found in the_ dipping headlamp mechanism, which is of the Sheffield Simplex type operated by means of engine suctionAll that the driver has to do is to do press a button, whereupon the head lamps dip automatically under the aclion of a piston working in a cylin d'ir coupled with the induction pipe The excellent finish of all the chassi parts is a notable feature of the car Another enclosed model mounted on «• similar chassis is ready for delivery U< the King of Spain.
