AUCKLAND CLUB’S CARD USEFUL AND INFORMATIVE r THE success which accompanied A the Auckland Trotting Club’s enterprise in placing its various programmes, together with other details of interest to followers of the sport, in booklet form, is responsible for the new edition, which is replete with everything of importance in connection with the club’s progress. 1929 DERBY IN THE SUMMER The booklet is a neat, useful and informative compilation, giving, in addition to the spring, summer and autumn schedules, a complete list of the various officers and officials of the c 'ub, and a register of the individual members of the organisation. The entrants remaining in the Great Northern Derby of this year, after payment °f the second forfeit, are recorded, while a list is given of the nominees tor the big Auckland classic of 1928. Both Derbies are carded for the spring, it is noticed that the 1929 three-year-old classic is set down again in Us original place, the summer schedule. USEFUL RECORDS Apart from information of a local haturc. Items of importance to the ught-harness world in general have been given prominence. These include a recprd of the fastest New Zea‘and times over all distances from one v? miles, and a useful table of distances and times. A summary of winners of the Auckland Cup and he Great Northern Derby adds to the usefulness and interest of the bookThe various programmes have been ■‘ready published in THE SUN, and w ill receive further attention as date for entries draws near.
