Queues of Cars. —Queues of motorcars ’ nearly a mile long were seen on the Hutt Road yesterday on both sides of the recent slip. A large fall of earth, which resulted from the workmen’s operations, blocked the road almost as completely as the slip itself. The work was hampered by danger which threatened one of the steam shovels from above. The locality will • not be thoroughly safe for at least I another three weeks.
