CONTRA ACCOUNTS The ownership of a horse was in question before the Te Aroha Court on Thursday when Claude Ail win Palmer sought to recover from Sidney and Jane Kay a horse wrongfully taken from his property in June last. In the course of his evidence Kay said lie bought the horse in Palmer’s name, but paid the purchase price, £22 10s. out of his own pocket on the understanding that he was to “take it out” in grazing. Tie denied that plaintiff had grazed 63 of his animals for three months without payment. Judgment was given in favour of plaintiff for possession of the horse and damages amounting to £2 10s.
