CONTRA ACCOUNTS The ownership of a horse was in question before the Te Aroha Court on Thursday when Claude Ail win Palmer sought to recover from Sidney and Jane Kay a horse wrongfully taken from his property in June last. In the course of his evidence Kay said lie bought the horse in Palmer’s name, but paid the purchase price, £22 10s. out of his own pocket on the understanding that he was to “take it out” in grazing.
