Preference to Immigrants.—The ease with which the immigrant is able to secure employment in municipal departments, in competition with the ?sew Zealand-born worker, was again commented on at a meeting of the New Zealand Natives’ Association held last evening. Mr. P. W. Schramm, who presided, contended that the New Zealander had only himself to blame, as he was too slow to assert his rights. It was decided to refer the question to the annual meeting of the association, to be held on September 29. }
