ELLERSLIE CRICKETERS HAVE GOOD YEAR
At the annual meeting of the Ellcrslie Cricket Club, held last night, Mr. O. Slye presided. The annual report stated that lasi, season was the most successful since the club was formed- The senior A team won the Auckland Suburban Association championship, and the senior B team tied for first place in its section. The balance sheet showed a credit balance of £2 2s 6d. The surplus of assets over liabilities was £29. The following officers were elected: Patrons, Sir Frederic Lang and Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P.; president, Mr. J. H. Clayton; vice-presidents, same as last year; chairman of committee, Mr. O. Slye; secretary, Mr. W. A. Cowan: treasurer. Mr. A. Hollis; committee, 3lessrs. Gedge. 3liskell, Baxter. Stanley, Lawrence, Keesing and Funnell; delegate to Suburban Cricket Association, Mr. A. Stanley. Several trophies were promised for competition during the coming season, including a cup donated by 3lr. W. J. Jordan, 31. P. Several new member* were elected.
