IN FANCY DRESS
The Morrinsville St. Matthew’s Social Committee held a children’s fancy dress ball in the Parish Hall recently. The ballroom was gaily decorated with flowers and streamers. An energetic committee under Mrs. Butler had all details complete, and the arrangements were all that could be desired. The music was supplied by Miss Bowers. Among the varied costumes worn by the children were the following: Elaine Howie, bumble bee; Marjorie Jackson, dancing doll; Audrey Jackson, Tommy Atkins; Nancy Saunders, Tommy Atkins; Jean Butler, spring; Joyce Crickett, rose; Genneta Bolton, Irish girl; Phyllis Bolton, house to let; Bonnie Hornsey, brown moth; Dorothy Reason, shuttle cock; Val Wright, Tommy Ati kins; Lois Echlin, spring; Francis Hawkins, carnival bells; Tiny Green, summer; Joy Hannon, fairy gold; Michael Stringfield, pierrot; Graham Howie, sailor; I Hugh Stringfield, pierette; George Grayson, Indian; Colin Bolton, Highlander; Maurice Hornsen, nigger boy; Bobbie Echlin, winter.
