Launch Salvaged. The fishing launch Norma, owned by Mr Andrew T rit which was wrecked oit Barrett s Reef on the night of August lb, when three men had to swim for their lives, was successfully salvaged from 60ft of water by the Wellington Harbour Board’s floating crane Hikitea Since the night of the accident the launch had been rolled 200yds from the place of sinking by the ground swell.
