ORANGE BLOSSOMS

FISSENDEN—PEDERSEN

A pretty wedding was solemnised on Saturday, in the Raetihi Fresbyterian Church, between Miss Nancy Marion Pedersen, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Pedersen, of Raetihi, and Mr. Ralxjh William Fissenden, eldest son of Mrs. Richards, of Putaruru.

The church was beautifully decorated with arum lilies, jonquils, daffodils and lycodopium. The Rev. J. Heard was the officiating minister. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, and wore a mid-Victorian frock of ivory satin, tintight bodice and long sleeves of which were perfectly plain, while from under the rucked full skirt peeped a beautiful panel of palest pink, richly embossed in silver with tiny silver and pink rose buds adorning the skirt. She wore a tulle veil, beautifully embroidered in silver, over which was arranged a circlet of orange blossoms, she also wore a handsome rope of pearls and carried a bouquet composed of hyacinths, and cylamens. Miss Betty Kelly as chief bridesmaid was smartly gowned in Parma violet taffeta, richly embroidered in silver and gold, with lace cape-sleeves, and picture hat to tone. Her bouquet was of beautiful freesias, stocks, and maidenhair fern. Little Dela and Dot Pedersen as attendants looked dainty in coral taffeta frocks and silver coronets, carrying posies of multi-coloured anemones. Moyra Leydon as flower girl looked sweeet in blue over cream lace, her large posy being of cream primroses and pansies. Mr. R. Lynch acted as best man. Mr. and Mrs. Pedersen afterwards entertained a large number of guests in the Druids Hall. Mrs. Pedersen wearing a georgette frock, black silk coat and hat to tone, her posy was of violets. Among those present were Miss V. Wood and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Spencer, of Auckland. The happy couple, who were the recipients of many beautiful gifts, afterwards left for Auckland, where their honeymoon will be spent.
