FRANKTON LEAGUERS WIN HALL CUP
The senior Rugby League game at Hamilton on Saturday, when Frankton defeated Athletic by 12 points to 9 and annexed the Hall Cup, was not exciting, but the teams were fairly evenly matched and a close contest was provided. The attacking was not up to standard. For Frankton tries were scored by Cameron, Astle. Jones and L. Muir, while Shaw and Vennall (2) scored for Athletic.
In the junior game Ngaruawahia inflicted a substantial defeat on Frank ton, winning by 25 points to 5.
