INTER-CLUB RACE FOR PATIKIS The suggestion made by “Keelson” last week that an inter-club race for patikis, on the lines of the "annual last week that in inter-club race for Lipton Cup event, should be established, has brought the. following letter of endorsement from an M class enthusiast: — Dear Sir.— I note with appreciation that THE SUN, through “Keelson,” has raised the question of an inter-club race for the patiki class. Most yachting enthusiasts will no doubt agree that the “M” class at present provides the closest and keenest racing, and an inter-club event would, without doubt, stimulate interest and further future building, and also create a friendly rivalry between the clubs. I have no hesitation in saying that at present there is no local race that creates as much interest as the interclub Lipton Cup, and I feel sure that the same result would ensure if a yachting fan, or else one of our numerous yacht clubs, would provide a tijpphy for our class to be raced for as an inter-club event. Yours, etc, —“M
