LEAGUE PLAYER EXONERATED

THE ALLEN CASE MISTAKEN IDENTITY It is understood that Allen, the Athletic League Rugby player, who was ordered oft the field in the match between Ponsonby and Athletic on Saturday last for alleged indiscriminate kicking, has been exonerated by the League authorities. It is reported that the inquiry held in committee by the Auckland League disclosed it to be a case of “mistaken identity.” In fairness to Allen, this fact should have been made public by the League.
