MAN BADLY INJURED
HIT BY MOTOR-CYCLE SKULL FRACTURED (From Our Own Correspondent) HANGAREI, To-day. A well-known Whangarei accountant, named William A. Flood, was a<K mitted to the hospital last evening suffering from severe head injuries and an injured hip as the result of beir.z run into by a motor-cyclist named $ Withers. Mr. Frood had just stepped from the footpath on Kamo Road, with the intention of crossing over to the Parochial Hall, when the cycle came up-on him. He is believed to have fracture: the base of his skull. The motorcyclist and accompanying pillion-rider escaped unhurt.
