New Zealand market is quiet, but the tendency is for a slight increase in rates. Value of August-October shipments is: High points, £36; fair, £34 10s; and common, £33. APPLES The cool store shipment of apples ex Tainui was marketed this week, the condition being very satisfactory. Pripes are as follow:—Sturmer, 15s to 20s a case; Statesmen, 20s to 235; Rome Beauty, 17s to 20s. WOOL The Bradford market is quiet in view of the holidays and business is slow in tops and yarns. Prices are:—64 a (Merino) warp, 4s lid a ib; average, 4s o|d; 56s (super halfbred), 2s 10Jd: 50’s (halfbred), 2s 3d; 40‘s prepared, Is 3d. PEAS The market is very quiet. Afloat parcels of No. 1 Partridge. New Zealand, offered by resellers at 90s to 92s 6d, but buyers’ ideas are about 88s Spot is quoted at 97s 6d ex store. Tasmanian Maple afloat offered at 94s to 95 sellers; spot quoted at 102 s 6d ex store. Demand for Blues is limited. Tasmanian and j New Zealand are neglected. Nominal quotations for spot supplies are:—Tasmania, £l6 to £lB, and New Zealand, £l6 to £l7 a ton. COCKSFOOT j Danish new crop, offered, September- ! November shipments, at 68s to 695, c.i.f. j It is reported quality is not as good as last crop. OATS C.i.f. business is small. Chilean afloat sold at 24s 9d and for Plate afloat sellers ask 24s 9d and for July-August; shipments 23s 9d. English new crop is ImM firmly. Choice white is offered at 3fn to 32s 6d and other qualities down to JSs. New Zealand Gartons: No business on account of shippers’ high quotations. Value: "A” grade about 31s 6d and *B” grade 30s.
